How do I find myself?

 Since most of the register is up to date to about 1983 it is possible that your family line may be missing one or even two generations.

If you were born before 1983, first try search for your own name.  Due to the naming traditions of times past, be sure to check whether the person that is found, is really you, by:

· checking the names of your father or grandfather and his birthdates. (The birth dates of living persons are not shown.  See our privacy policy.) or

· check the maiden names of the wife or mother to confirm the person found is you.

· If you know the area, especially the farms, from which your ancestor originated, you can follow the family line down to recent generations.

· If you cannot find yourself or your family, please send us an email with your known information, father’s information (names, birthdates etc) and we will respond to you.

 As this is constantly a work-in-progress, we urge family members to update their information with us.  While information on living people is not shown on the internet webpage, our files will be updated making future updates easier.
